If we look at what the typical dishes of Sienese cuisine are, we see that two things distinguish it: the quality (often excellent) of the products, raw ingredients such as meat, salami, pecorino cheese, vegetables, aromatic herbs, extra virgin olive oil and the simplicity of the preparations, which are very traditional, and therefore particularly rich in flavor.

A visit to Siena can not therefore disregard a stop in the restaurants and inns of the city, which are the expression of a cuisine that - from appetizers to typical desserts - continually gives moments of convivial pleasure and taste, thanks to the great DOCG and DOC wines of Chianti, San Gimignano, Montalcino or Montepulciano.

The recipes of Sienese cuisine, the most traditional one and the one that instead wants to bring a clever innovation, are gathered in this section, which we hope will be of help to choose the dishes when you are in Siena and to try to prepare them with your own hands when you are at home.

Follow us, because we’ll constantly update the list of recipes, the result of the skills and imagination of our chefs!
